Referral process
All external referrals need to come via the GP who refers via e-RS to Stroke which is found as a sub-speciality of Neurology.
In asking the GP to do this, please can you advise them of the following details:
Diagnosis
Current physical strategies being used
Anti-spasticity medication history, if known
Where the spasticity is/ target muscles for BoNT
Goals for treatment
Response to any previous BoNT injections

"Our clinic is very much directed towards the treatment of focal spasticity and use of Botulinum toxin injections. We are unable to offer appointments for generalised spasticity assessment/management at present. We are able to offer upper limb and lower limb splinting as part of our service and can refer to our local Orthotics services for gait optimisation."
